URBAN ROOTS: MIYAWAKI FOREST PLANTED IN BHIWANDI (Gokulnagar)

Overview:
In a city corner where concrete usually wins, Making The Difference and M/s. Personiv Contact Centers India Pvt. Ltd. chose to rewrite the story—by planting hope, life, and 100% native greenery. Together, they launched a Miyawaki Plantation Project at MAHADA Colony, Gokulnagar, Bhiwandi, turning grey into green and space into sanctuary.

This urban afforestation initiative, powered by the Miyawaki technique, transforms compact plots into dense micro-forests—boosting biodiversity, absorbing carbon, and reclaiming the ecological balance cities desperately need.

Goals:
To counteract urban deforestation by creating high-density native forests that grow rapidly, restore biodiversity, and contribute to environmental sustainability.

Specifications:
• Location: MAHADA Colony, Gokulnagar, Bhiwandi
• Implemented using the Miyawaki method for rapid afforestation
• Collaboration with M/s. Personiv Contact Centers India Pvt. Ltd.

Milestones:
This initiative brings nature back into the heart of the city—ensuring that tomorrow’s generations inherit air that’s cleaner, soil that’s richer, and surroundings that are greener. It's not just a plantation—it's a living promise of climate resilience and community wellbeing.
