WASTE WISE WARRIORS: Empowering Young Minds at MBMC School

Overview:
At MBMC School, Kashigaon, a new generation of eco-conscious citizens began their journey toward sustainability. Making The Difference organized an interactive awareness session on waste management and segregation, turning environmental responsibility into an engaging and empowering experience for 7th standard students.


Goals:
To instill eco-friendly habits from a young age by educating students on the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling waste, and encouraging mindful disposal practices.


Specifications:
Held at MBMC School, Mira Road East, the session was designed to be as informative as it was fun.
Key highlights included:
A lively discussion on waste segregation, environmental impact, and the 3Rs
Demonstrations on color-coded bin usage to help students distinguish between wet, dry, and hazardous waste
Interactive hands-on activities where students practiced sorting waste and learned how everyday choices affect the planet
Student engagement through Q&A and on-the-spot challenges that sparked curiosity and commitment to sustainability


Milestones:
The session sparked awareness and enthusiasm among dozens of 7th standard students. Hosted by Making The Difference, it turned theory into action and learning into habit. The school premises echoed with curiosity, commitment, and conversations about creating a cleaner future, one child at a time.
