The session was fun and made me feel safe to talk about periods. I didn’t know that yoga can help with period pain. Thank you, Didi, for teaching us this!
I found the session really helpful! It’s so important to have sessions like this in school so we can learn about periods and understand our bodies better. Many girls don’t know much about it, and this really helped us feel more confident.
I learned how to take care of myself during periods by managing pain, staying clean, drinking water, eating healthy, and staying well.
Menstrual health in rural Rajasthan faces challenges like limited access to sanitary products, inadequate waste disposal, and socio-cultural stigma. In Rajasthan, initiatives like the 'Project Lajja' is a great platform to promote menstrual hygiene by providing free reusable sanitary pads, raising health awareness, and empowering school girls through education. This program specifically targets rural areas where discussions about menstruation are often considered taboo.
Over three days, we witnessed young girls shed fear, embrace knowledge, and break deep-rooted barriers. Their stories, emotions, and courage moved us deeply, reminding us how powerful the right information can be. This journey not only changed them but touched our hearts too. Every conversation brings us closer to a world where no girl feels ashamed or alone. Keep making a difference!
Menstruation is natural, yet many girls grow up in silence, fearing judgment and shame. This program goes beyond education—it’s about empowerment, dignity, and breaking deep-rooted taboos. From the very start of the inauguration, it was clear that these three days would be truly transformative for everyone involved. Thank you, Interise Trust, for supporting this important cause!
Special thanks to Interise Trust, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar Jalna Tollway Pvt. Ltd. for enabling this lifechanging work. Through Project Lajja, we’ve reached 1,500+ girls with awareness sessions. In 2023, we screened 1,000 girls, identified 329 anemic, and supported 110 critical cases with 6–7 months of followup. In 2024–25, we continue with a medical camp covering 500 more girls through anemia screening and health monitoring
For the past three years, Project Lajja, under Interise Trust's CSR Activities, has distributed reusable pads and educational books. This year, we conducted a medical camp for anemia detection with Making The Difference NGO Interise Trust remains committed to women’s empowerment and health, bringing positive change to girls in rural areas. Thank you, MTD NGO, for your continued efforts!
On behalf of my team and Interise Trust, I sincerely thank Making The Difference NGO for the incredible initiative, Project Lajja. I must say the NGO is doing a good work and they have given us so much of insight. My students are really enlightened and I'm sure they have got a few things cleared in their mind regarding this very important topic which needs to be addressed
I want to express my deep appreciation for the impactful session conducted by Making The Difference Charitable Trust under Project Lajja. The connection established with the girls was exceptional, and the attentiveness in the hall was remarkable, highlighting the significance of this topic. It's encouraging to see these discussions taking place openly, considering menstruation has often been a taboo subject. We must continue to address this, especially for students from smaller towns and villages where these conversations are still rare, even in - Brig. Anil Mahadev Kakade President, SM educated families. It's crucial to view this biological process from a scientific perspective and understand its role in life. Additionally, as you learn about related topics like sexual harassment and social media safety, it's vital to share this knowledge with others. By educating your families and friends, you can create a significant impact. Let's ensure these discussions reach boys as well, so they understand the challenges faced by girls and become allies in addressing them. Thank you to Dwiti Ma'am and Murthy Ma'am for leading this session. I hope these conversations continue in other schools, benefiting many more students. Your engagement and enthusiasm have been phenomenal, and we look forward to conducting similar sessions in the future
