Red is Powerful : Menstrual Health Awareness at JMP School, Barr

Overview:
What if shame was replaced with pride?
At Rajakiya J.M.P.R.J.A. Secondary School in Barr, Rajasthan, that’s exactly what happened. A hush-hush topic turned into a heart-to-heart conversation , all thanks to two passionate women, Ms. Tikshala Gaikwad and Ms. Jagruti Gupta, who came not just with knowledge, but with purpose.


Goals:
To rewrite the story of menstruation , from silence and stigma to strength and science.
Making The Difference stepped in to make sure that every girl walked out not just informed, but empowered.


Specifications:
In a school where whispers once lived, voices rose. Laughter, questions, and bright red kits filled the room.
127 students took part in the session
• Each received hygiene kits and informative booklets
• Activities led by Ms. Tikshala Gaikwad & Ms. Jagruti Gupta


Milestones:
From confusion to clarity. From discomfort to dignity.
The event saw 127 girls take ownership of their health and bodies , a moment made possible by the tireless spirit of Making The Difference, and the collaborative strength of BPPTPL and Interise Trust. A ripple began that day in Barr , and it’s still growing.
